Contact Lumtrek

The form on this page is the only contact channel Lumtrek operates. Lumtrek is a small independent publication run by one editor, so there is no support desk, phone line or office counter behind it. Messages are read and answered when time allows.

What this page is and is not. There is no published postal address, telephone number or staffed opening hours, because none exist. No response time is promised. Some messages — particularly unsolicited commercial pitches — may not receive a reply at all.

1. What to use this form for

These are the requests the form is intended to handle:

  • Factual corrections. Include the page URL, the exact sentence or figure you believe is wrong, and a short explanation or source showing what it should say.
  • Questions about an article. If an explanation or calculation on a page is unclear, say which page and which part.
  • Topic suggestions. The most useful suggestions name a concrete question a reader would type, not a broad subject area.
  • Broken links, display problems or other site faults. Include the page and, if you can, the browser and device.
  • Copyright or attribution concerns. Identify the material, the page it appears on, and the basis of your concern.
  • Privacy requests relating to a message you previously sent through this form.
  • Legitimate business or partnership enquiries. Name the organisation, the website or product, and what is actually being proposed.

2. What this form cannot do

Lumtrek publishes general explanatory articles. It does not provide individual advice, and the form is not a route to any of the following:

  • Personal financial, legal, tax, medical or engineering advice, or a review of your particular situation.
  • Technical support for a device, account, bank, retailer, employer or service provider. Lumtrek has no relationship with those organisations and cannot act on your behalf.
  • Recovery of an account, a payment, an order or a warranty claim.
  • Urgent or safety-critical matters. If something is urgent, contact the relevant provider or the appropriate authority directly.

Bulk marketing, link-insertion requests, guest-post placement offers and automated submissions are not accepted and are generally deleted without reply.

3. Privacy expectations for messages sent through this form

Please read this before writing. It describes how a submission is actually handled.

  • Where it goes. The form is processed by Netlify Forms, the form-handling feature of the site's hosting provider. Submissions are stored in the site's Netlify account, where the editor can read them. Netlify processes and stores that data under its own terms and privacy documentation.
  • What is captured. The fields you fill in — name, email address, the reason you select, and your message — plus technical information the hosting platform records when handling any web request, such as an IP address and timestamp.
  • Ordinary email, not encrypted messaging. A reply, if one is sent, travels as normal email. Treat this channel as you would any ordinary email: reasonably private, but not confidential or end-to-end encrypted.
  • No confidentiality undertaking. Sending a message does not create a legal, professional or contractual relationship, and does not place Lumtrek under a duty of confidence. Do not send anything on the assumption that a non-disclosure obligation applies.
  • Retention. Submissions are kept while they are useful for answering the request or keeping a record of a correction, and are deleted when no longer needed. There is no automated retention schedule in place; deletion is manual.
  • Use. Messages are used to answer the request and to improve the site. They are not sold. Your email address is not added to any mailing list — no newsletter currently exists.
  • Publication. The substance of a correction may be reflected in an updated article. Your name, email address and message text are not published.
  • Your rights. You can ask what was received, ask for a correction, or ask for your submission to be deleted. Send that request through this same form and describe the earlier message well enough to identify it.

See the Privacy Policy for the full explanation.

4. Do not send sensitive information

This is a public web form on an informational website. Send the minimum needed for the request to make sense, and nothing more. In particular, do not send:

  • Passwords, PINs, one-time codes, recovery codes or any other authentication credential.
  • Full card numbers, CVV codes, bank account or UPI credentials, or screenshots of banking or payment apps.
  • Government identity numbers or images of identity documents.
  • Medical records, health details or other special-category personal data.
  • Confidential, privileged or commercially sensitive material, including anything covered by a non-disclosure agreement.
  • Personal information about another person — including a child — unless you are entitled to share it.

If a message arrives containing this kind of material, the sensible response is deletion rather than storage, and that is what will normally happen. No organisation legitimately asks for a password or a one-time code, and Lumtrek never will.

5. Send a message

Fields marked * are required. By sending this form you confirm you have read the privacy and sensitive-information notes above. Maximum 4,000 characters.

If the form does not submit, JavaScript-blocking extensions or a strict privacy setting may be interfering with the host's form handling. Reloading the page and resubmitting usually resolves it.

A note on expectations. Corrections and clear, specific questions are the messages most likely to get a reply, because they are the ones that improve the site. That is not a service guarantee — it is simply how a one-person publication works.
